Diagnostic imaging

Diagnostic imaging is used to diagnose or screen a patient for certain health conditions. A variety of machines and techniques are used to create images of the activities and structures inside the body. Most of these tests are painless and easy. Some tests do require a patient to remain still for a long period of time which can be uncomfortable. Fasting is common before some tests in order for the most accurate images to be taken. Also in some procedures a small camera called a scope is inserted into the body through a tube to examine bodily functions and identify problems not seen with more general imaging.

We are at the forefront of the imaging industry and guarantee results in 24 hours. All procedures are performed by highly qualified physicians and experienced technicians. We use the latest in state-of-the-art equipment and innovative technology to deliver accurate images in a timely manner.

Laboratory Services

We provide selective laboratory services on site. Some of our more advanced testing is done at 3rd party laboratories specially equipped for these test. All test results will be available to you within 24 hours.

Nebulizer Treatments

We offer nebulizer treatments on site using a hand held nebulizer for immediate treatment and relief. A nebulizer is a type of inhaler that sprays a fine, liquid mist of medication. This is done through a mask. The medications used in nebulizers help you by loosening the mucus in the lungs so it can be coughed out more easily, and by relaxing the airway muscles so that more air can move in and out of the lungs. Breathing the medication straight into the lungs works better and faster than taking the medication by mouth. Nebulizer treatments take about 15 to 20 minutes to give the medication.

Sunset Strip Medical Center has made a commitment to continually enhance the quality of its services and programs and its focus on the satisfaction of the persons served.

School/Sports Physicals

The purpose of requiring physicals for school age children is to not only ensure that the child is healthy, but to make sure schools are notified of conditions that may require special attention. The physical exam is a way to assess overall wellness.

A regular school physical will include a height/weight check, a cardiovascular and respiratory examination, a blood pressure screening, a urinalysis, a spinal exam to screen for scoliosis, and an overall check of the skin, ears, eyes, and throat.

The exam is very important for students who are involved in sports. Although the state does not require annual physicals for all students, it is mandatory for all student athletes to have an annual physical and be approved to play sports. The physical determines if the child is physically fit and able to compete without any limitations.
