Worker's Compensation

Work injuries and occupational diseases should be reported in writing whenever possible. The worker may lose the right to receive compensation if an accident is not reported within 30 days
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
No-fault insurance originated in Florida in 1971 to assure speedy payment of medical bills and compensation for lost income from an automobile accident victim's own insurance company, even where the injured party was himself or herself clearly at fault. Under the law, every automobile insurance policy shall provide Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits to "the named insured, relatives residing in the same household, persons operating the insured motor vehicle, passengers in such motor vehicle, and other persons struck by such motor vehicle and suffering bodily injury while not an occupant of a self-propelled vehicle.
